Emergency services were called to the intersection of Forest Road and the Princes Highway, Nowra Hill, following reports of a two-vehicle crash yesterday ( Wednesday January 31) just before 6pm.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District arrived to find a SUV and sedan had collided.
First responders had to free two people trapped in one of those vehicles.
A passenger of the sedan, a 5-year-old girl, was treated for injuries before being airlifted to Randwick Children Hospital.
The driver of the sedan, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to Wollongong Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the SUV, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for precautionary reasons.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
