Hot and dry conditions forecast across the Shoalhaven today has seen the NSW Rural Fire Service bump up the the Fire Danger Rating to High.
Although the region isn’t under a Total Fire Ban, it’s urging residents to hold off on pile burning until conditions have eased towards the end of the week.
Landowners who have been burning this week are being reminded to regularly check those burns to ensure they are completely extinguished.

The Rural Fire service reports two fires are at patrol status in the Shoalhaven today.
The first is at the Upper Kangaroo Valley, where a blaze burned out several hectares before being bought under control.
The second is a 46 hectare hazard reduction burn in the Jervis Bay area which is being monitored by RFS crews.
