The NSW Department of Environment, Heritage and National Parks and Wildlife Service is looking into the deaths of protected Corella birds at Terara.
An angered resident has posted images on social media of dead Corellas strewn across a rural block and hanging from poles.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service on its website advises Corellas are a protected species and a permit is required before any culling or reduction can be undertaken.
