About 11am on (Wednesday 15 May 2024), emergency services were called to Kalandar Street, Nowra, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District arrived to find an elderly man riding a motorised scooter had been hit by a car.
The man, who is believed to be in his 80s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Wollongong Hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the car was uninjured and taken for mandatory testing.
Police are investigating the incident.
