The vibrant coastal village of Huskisson has once again been recognised at the 2025 NSW Top Tourism Town Awards, taking home Gold and securing Hall of Fame status in the NSW Tiny Tourism Town category for populations under 1,500.
This year marks the third consecutive Gold for Huskisson in the NSW Top Tourism Town Awards for New South Wales, granting the town affectionately known as ‘Husky’ the Hall of Fame for the state.
Huskisson will go on to represent the state at the Australian Tourism Awards later this year, hoping to add to last years Gold for Australia and the previous years’ Bronze. Huskisson continues to showcase the strength of Shoalhaven’s visitor economy and the passion of its local community.
Daniel Payne, President of Huskisson Chamber of Commerce, said, “Winning Gold again and being placed in the Hall of Fame is an incredible achievement for our tiny town. Huskisson continues to shine thanks to its passionate community and outstanding businesses who make our Tiny town become a giant in the Australian tourism market.”
The NSW Top Tourism Town Awards, powered by NSW Tourism Association spotlight the destinations that contribute most to the vitality and diversity of the state’s visitor economy.
Deputy Mayor Peter Wilkins added, “What an excellent result for Shoalhaven and the heart of Jervis Bay, Huskisson. The weather may be cooling down but our tourism offerings are heating up with wine, whales and foodie trails on offer this winter. Year-round visitation is key to sustainability in tourism for our region, so we encourage folks to book a trip soon and support our local businesses.”
Congratulations also go to neighbours Kiama and Shellharbour who won gold and silver respectively in the Top Town category.
