Kiama Council has held its Sorry Day ceremony on Monday (27 May).
The Aboriginal flag was raised outside the Old Council Chambers on Manning St at 10am before a formal ceremony at The Pavilion.
The Welcome to Country was delivered by Aunty Gwenda Jarrett and a Smoking Ceremony by Uncle Stan Jarrett.

A Civic address and formal apology was given by Kiama Deputy Mayor Imogen Draisma.
