The community is turning out in force to protect the lives of endangered Greater Gliders.
A coalition of local conservation groups has rallied today (Monday 5 February) outside Forestry Corporation South Coast headquarters to protest the Minns Government weakening of rules safeguarding glider homes from being logged in State forests.
Groups include the Knitting Nannas South Coast Loop, Friends of the Forest Mogo, South-East Forest Rescue, and Brooman State Forest Conservation Group.
These groups have long called for NSW to follow Victoria and Western Australia’s lead to end native forest logging to protect biodiversity across the state.
