After 6 years in the making ‘Think Regional’ and its first chapter ‘South Coast Careers’ is launching publicly for the first time.
The platform showcases regional employers, their unique value proposition and career opportunities with the aim of attracting and retaining regional career builders:
Founder and Director Anna Finch said, “Metro areas and their major employers spend a lot of time and money promoting their opportunities to attract the best and brightest.”
“Regional areas have not promoted their employment brand as strongly and many businesses struggle to fill key roles as a result.”
“Think Regional tells the stories of regional career builders and regional employers with the message that you really can have it all in Regional Australia,” Ms Finch said.
Think Regional has been pitched to South Coast businesses and organisations to attract featured employers on the site.
The website was launched yesterday, December 12, along with a summer campaign to encourage holiday makers and South Coast locals to join the Regional Career Builder Network.
November Regional Australia Institute (RAI) Job Vacancy Data has reported a record number of job vacancies in regional areas with 94,000 jobs advertised, well in excess of the previous peak of 59,100.
“There has never been a better time to promote regional areas like the South Coast, from manufacturing to defence, agriculture to construction, we have a vast array of opportunities available for skilled people seeking a fulfilling career whilst finding balance to enjoy life,” noted Anna.
