The grand opening of the upgraded Park Road Netball Courts in South Nowra celebrates an enhanced sporting experience for the local community and is set to take place on Saturday 19 August.
The event will mark the successful completion of the $4.8M project, which includes the replacement of six of 12 courts, resurfacing the remaining six courts; installation of energy efficient floodlighting; perimeter fencing; comfortable seating; accessible car parking, and convenient access pathways.
Nowra’s Park Road Netball Courts upgrade will not only improve the overall playing conditions but also create a welcoming environment for netball enthusiasts of all ages.
“This project represents a significant investment in our community’s wellbeing and provides a modern and accessible facility for everyone to enjoy,” said Mayor Amanda Findley.
“We invite all residents and netball enthusiasts to join us for this special occasion and experience the exceptional facilities firsthand,” said Cr Findley.
The grand opening festivities located at 24 Purcell Way in Nowra, will commence at 9am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by an exciting exhibition match showcasing the talents of local netball players.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the upgraded facilities, participate in interactive activities, and learn more about upcoming community programs and events.
