Police rescue ducklings down a drain

On a Monday morning while on foot patrol in Moss Vale, police from the Southern Highlands came across a worried looking duck waiting at the lights on Argyle Street.

Tiny chirping noises led the officers to a nearby drain where 10 little ducklings had evidently fallen through the bars.

Removing the grate, the officers successfully saved all 10 youngsters, who were reunited with mother duck and given a pedestrian escort safely into Leighton Gardens.
