Marine Rescue NSW volunteers on board Shellharbour 30 and Jervis Bay 41 have joined the multi-agency search for two missing male rock fishers off Kiama.
The father and son, aged 47 and 17, haven’t been sighted since Monday evening.
Family members travelled from Liverpool yesterday keeping vigil at Storm Bay.
Police don’t believe the pair were wearing life jackets
Marine Rescue NSW Illawarra Inspector Stuart Massey said volunteer crews from the Shellharbour and Jervis Bay units were on water at 7am.
“Marine Rescue NSW vessels Shellharbour 30 and Jervis Bay 41 are conducting a parallel line search on waters just south of Kiama.
“The crews are following search patterns designated by NSW Police Marine Area Command,” Inspector Massey said.
