Former Local Government Minister Shelly HANCOCK has endorsed Independent Patricia WHITE as the next Shoalhaven Mayor.
A paperwork bungle by the Lib State executive ruled out Lib Council candidates, including Paul ELL who was to stand for the city’s top job.
Former Liberal State MP Ms HANCOCK has confirmed she was also on the Lib’s Ward 3 ticket in the September 14 ballot before the Liberal nominations were rubbed out.

Ms Hancock said, “Clearly I am a very loyal Liberal Party member. I will never vote for the Greens and there are two Independents and I have looked at both of their histories and their passion and commitment to the community and both have it, but at the end of the day I think I have to say I am going to support Patricia White.
