Shoalhaven playground renewal program

August 29, 2025 9:21 am in by

As part of Council’s playground renewal program, local residents are being asked what new play equipment they’d like to see at the Arthur Jones Reserve playground in Lake Conjola.

Located next to the Lake Conjola Community Hall, the playground equipment is reaching its end of life and needs to be replaced to serve local families into the future.

Mayor Patricia White said the playground renewal program was critical to ensuring playground facilities were upgraded to ensure they were safe and welcoming places for children across the Shoalhaven.

“This is a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to influence the type of playground equipment they’d like to see at the Arthur Jones Reserve,” Cr White said.

“From toddler areas to more adventurous climbing equipment, let us know what you think the neighbourhood kids would love to see,” she said.

“Council has upgraded dozens of tired playgrounds across the region over the years and it’s now Lake Conjola’s turn to see fresh equipment installed.”

Cr white said around $250,000 would be allocated for the upgrade. The survey can be found on Council’s Get Involved platform and is open until 5pm 15 September.
