Two apprentices at Gumnut Pattiserie in the Southern Highlands were selected to take part in the The Fonterra Proud to be a Chef program in Melbourne.
Jason Bromley and Josh Nickl made the cut from around 450 entrants around Australia with Josh winning an award for the best sweet dish.
The pair spent four days down in Melbourne recently where they learnt from the best in the business
Gumnut's Operations Manager Michael Glennon says there are some great opportunities for young people in the Highlands.
