A man has been charged with a massive alleged crime spree which started in the Hunter region and finished in the Southern Highlands.
It all started last Thursday night, when a 23 year old man broke into a property at Cessnock and stole a vehicle.
The following morning two Police pursuits had to be terminated through the Southern Highlands, with the stolen vehicle eventually found at Boxers Creek, north of Goulburn.
Police were called once again after the owner of a property in the area, spotted the man armed with a hammer on his property.
He then stole a Commodore in the early hours of Saturday morning and headed north back up the Hume Highway.
He was eventually arrested after a short foot pursuit near Colo Vale Railway Station.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a hammer, a trailer registration plate and ammunition.
The man was taken to Bowral Police Station where he was charged with 18 offences, including:
Break, enter and steal
Aggravated break and enter
Illegal use of conveyance (x2)
Police pursuit (x4)
Exceed speed over 45km/h (x3)
Enter enclosed lands
Drive while disqualified (x2)
