Member for Goulburn Pru Goward believes a decision to turn parts of the Meryla State Forest into a Koala Conservation area will go a long way in putting an end to wreckless four wheel drive activity.
Locals living around the State Forest have become increasingly concerned with the amount of damage being caused to creeks and roadways.
In many instances the culprits are creating new paths and leaving rubbish behind.
Ms. Goward insists the decision is a real game changer.
She says once it's a conservation area we can expect to see more ranger activity.
