Wingecarribee Councillors have endorsed the 2018/19 operational budget eight votes to one.

The budget includes a 9.25 per cent IPART approved rate increase, a $5.74 million dollar loan for improvements at the Civic Centre, Bowral Cemetery, Kirkham Road pavement upgrade and other land acquisitions.

Sewer access charges will increase by 3.05 per cent with the residential access charge to rise to $845 per annum.

However there'll be no increase applied to water access and user charges with the residential access charge to stay at $158.

Councillors have agreed to a compromise on proposed new charges at the saleyards after a number of submissions were received.

The feeding fee will be $3.05 and the Holding Fee $2.05.
