Compliance issues at Gibraltar Park Bowral

Wingecarribee Council has told the developer of Gibraltar Park in Bowral that new residents aren't allowed to move in until compliance issues are dealt with.

The biggest sticking point is the sewer and council says a pump out has not been approved.

Mayor Duncan Gair says he feels for the residents, but insists they have obligations to makesure everything is above board.

The developer told council yesterday that it had approval from Water NSW for a pump out, however further council, checks have revealed that's not the case.

Staff are liaising with Water NSW to see if an arrangement can be put in place.

Mayor Duncan Gair says if there is no objection to a pump out from Water NSW, then council may issue a building certificate to the certifier, who can in turn issue an occupation certificate to the developer.
