Premier outlines plan for HSR

nsw transport

It's been spoken about for decades, but the State Government has outlined a bold plan for high speed rail in NSW.

For routes have been proposed including a southern inland route between Sydney, Goulburn or Canberra,

Another is a southern coastal route including Wollongong and Nowra.

The trains would reach speeds of around 200 kilometres per hour and reduce travel times by up to 75 per cent.

A trip from Goulburn to Sydney currently takes 2 hours and 31 minutes and with high speed rail this would be reduced to half an hour.
