Nationals Candidate for Whitlam James Harker Mortlock has decided to withdraw his nomination because of issues with his dual citizenship.
Mr. Harker Mortlock claims he started the whole renunciation process of his British Citizenship some time ago, but was unable to get the final bit of paperwork from the High Court of Australia.
He says he's very disappointed and is calling for section 44 of the constitution to be amended or repealed.
It's unsure whether the Nationals will stand another Candidate.
