The Bargo Dingo Sanctuary is fearful of a massive dingo cull on Fraser Island after a 14 month old toddler was attacked and suffered a fractured skull and puncture wounds.
The boy was asleep when two dogs dragged him from a campervan.
His father managed to fight off the animals after hearing his child's screams.
The 14 month old boy has since undergone surgery.
Sanctuary President Lucille Ellum has some helpful advice for people and that includes not leaving children unattended, where there maybe wild dogs or pure bred dingoes.
She says it's the same as minding a child in a swimming pool.
