Pedestrian killed on Hume Motorway

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was killed in the  Southern Highlands Monday night.

Just after 11 o'clock Kia sedan driven by a 21-year-old woman was travelling north on the Hume Motorway, about 2km south of the Sierra Street overpass, Yerrinbool, when it struck a man reported to have been walking on the roadway.

He died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The woman contacted police and was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended the scene and detectives are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who has dashcam footage to come forward.
