The Moss Vale Dragons have met with group six officials to discuss the club's current predicament.
It comes after a large number of players left the club following the departure of Captain/Coach Jeco Makatoa.
The club is now hoping to pull out of first grade and finish the rest of the season in reserves.
However to do this they'll have to overturn a competition rule, that every club have both first and reserve grade teams.
It's hoped a final decision will be made on Friday.
Club President Paul Maloney admits it's an unfortunate set of circumstances but insists player safety is paramount in the top grade.
