Further details have emerged about an incident at Berrima Gaol last weekend where a Prison Officer was hit by a vehicle.
It's been revealed two Corrective Service Officers were carrying out surveillance work around the perimeter of the facility when they allegedly saw a man throw an apple over the prison wall.
The Australian reports the apple contained drugs and a syringe.
One of the Officers suffered a broken wrist when he tried to stop the man's vehicle.
The offender has since been charged and refused bail.
