A number of local greyhound owners are welcoming changes to an old law which requires them to fit a muzzle on their dogs in public.
The change comes two years after a recommendation was handed to the State Government by an Industry Reform Panel.
Before this many people thought the devices gave the animals an unfair stigma.
Bowral greyhound owner Bruce O'Brien is welcoming the change but says they may need the device on race days when the dogs get a little excited.
