Botanic Gardens to get All Abilities playground

Southern Highlands Botanical garden My Community Project

The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens has been awarded a $200,000 grant through the State Government's My Community Project for a new All Abilities Playground.

The organisation received more than double the amount of votes of any other project in the electorate.

Member for Wollondilly Nathaniel Smith says it will make the gardens more inclusive.

Botanic Gardens CEO Charlotte Webb says they're thrilled with the announcement and are hoping to start work ASAP.

Meantime Mr. Smith is encouraging any groups who missed out on funding to submit an application through the community building partnerships program.
