SES volunteers are working overtime after strong winds lashed the Highlands over the weekend.

They've attended to more than 260 jobs since early Saturday morning, most of those being for fallen trees on roofs, powerlines, across roads and driveways.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting strong winds again today and residents are being asked to tie up any loose items around the house and not park underneath trees.

Operations Officer Dylan Whitelaw says anyone who needs assistance should phone 132500.
