A $6.6 million dollar grant has been announced for the Wollondilly state electorate to improve water quality.
Part of the funding will go towards upgrading Bowral’s sewerage treatment plant and increase its existing capacity.
This is expected to improve the quality of the water discharged and ensure it complies with regulatory requirements.
Mayor Duncan Gair is welcoming the announcement, but is looking forward to further support from the Government to assist with the continuing upgrade of Wingecarribee facilities.
