Alleged Child sex arrest at Buxton

Police Sign 19d9a

A man has been charged in connection with a number of alleged historical sexual assaults in Sydney's South West.

Back in June this year, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad started an investigation after reports three girls were sexually abused by a man, between 1989 and 2012.

Just after 5am yesterday, Officers stopped a vehicle at Buxton and arrested a 57 year old man.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with two counts of sex assault-indecent assault victim under the age of 16 and under authority, and four counts of aggravated sex assault victim under the age of 16.

Police will allege in court that the girls – then aged nine, 10 and 11 – were in the man’s care at the time of the offences.

The 57 year old will re - appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.
