You just can't keep a good man or woman down during the Corona Virus pandemic.

Already people who've lost their jobs are transferring their skills to other industries.

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor says he's seeing a number of examples in his electorate, where people from Qantas who've lost their jobs are now working for Coles or Woolworths.

And Southern Highlands Chair Steve Horton says he's also seeing plenty of examples of diversification.

Some cafes are now doing takeaway meals, which they haven't done in the past and others are starting to use Facebook stores to sell their products.

There are also reports of some florists across the country now delivering vegetables.

Mr. Horton is encouraging local businesses to get a website and social media presence, keep abreast of daily updates and makesure they're adhering to social distancing rules.
