Police to target " Corona Parties "

Hefty on-the-spot fines are now in force for anyone who breaks self-isolating or social distancing rules.

The penalties, came into force at midnight last night and are a thousand dollars for individuals and five-thousand for businesses.

Chief Inspector John Klepczarek says, officers will be cracking down on anyone doing the wrong thing.

He says even house parties will be targeted with random checks.

There have been reports of " Corona parties " being organised.
