Parts of the Southern Highlands have received large amounts of small sized hail this evening which looks like snow.
The conditions have been caused by a cold air pool which has passed through the area.
Stephen Stefanak at the Bureau of Meteorology says things will settle down for a short period before more rain fall and windy conditions overnight and tomorrow.
For Friday in Bowral and Nowra we can expect anywhere between 10 and 35 millimetres.
Large and powerful surf conditions are expected on the Coast.
