A development application for a ‘paddock to plate’ dining experience at Kangaloon has been knocked back by the majority of Councillors, for the time being.
The DA for a 41 hectare property on Kangaloon Road was submitted by Louise Keats who's the granddaughter of the late Margaret Fulton.
The proponent wants to host around 30 functions each year for up to 50 guests at a time.
A number of Councillors were concerned that approving the DA would permit the temporary use of a function centre.
Mayor Duncan Gair believes there are a number of compliance issues which need to be addressed.
Council staff have also raised concerns about road access, formalised carparking and disability access.
