Protestors can expect hefty penalties

Our Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor says unauthorised protests during the COVID19 pandemic are unacceptable.

The organisers of a Sydney rally which is going ahead, despite an order not to, are confident it won't lead to a spike in Covid-19 cases.

A court has knocked back an application to authorise tomorrow's refugee rights demonstration -- due to the public health risk.

The Refugee Action Coalition's Ian Rintoul if they thought lives were at risk they wouldn't be holding it:

A Black Lives Matter protest in Sydney tonight is also unauthorised.

Police are warning the public they can expect significant penalties if they attend the protests.

Mr. Taylor says they're putting all the good work at risk.
