Memorial Park to remember RFS firefighters

A fire truck themed playground is set to be built in Buxton to remember Rural Fire Service fighters Andrew O'Dwyer and Geoffrey Keaton who lost their lives in the Green Wattle Creek Fire.

Wollondilly Mayor Mathhew Deeth met with the Buxton RFS yesterday morning to sign a letter of commitment for the delivery of the playground.

The Telopea Park Master Plan includes the following:

* An RFS Fire Truck Memorial Playground with shade provision, landscaping and park seating, including memorial plaque/s.

* An update of the existing playground with the selected design, allowing for future shade structure provision.

* Adapting the connection routes between some of the facilities due to minor changes required   during construction.
