Trains enthusiasts across the Highlands will have more opportunities to see one of our most famous steam trains.
Locomotive 3801 will be travelling from Thilmere to Goulburn and back today.
Further trips over the weekend will be confirmed by Transport Heritage NSW with the aim of training crews and putting the Loco back into heritage operations.
Rail Author Leon Oberg says the loco recently went through a major re - fit which included a completely refurbished boiler.
It first appeared in December 1942 and was the first of 30 designed for express passenger working.
