Highlands worker takes out Apprentice of the Year

A local retail baking apprentice  has taken out the 2020 NSW Apprentice of the Year award in a virtual ceremony broadcast last night.

The 65th edition of the annual NSW Training Awards saw JOSHUA NICKL take out the top award, adding to a growing list of trophies including Australia’s National Apprentice Pastry Chef of the Year in 2017.

Currently employed by the  Gumnut Patisserie in the Southern Highlands Joshua was also named  the People's Choice winner.
