The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating an incident on a NSW Trains passenger service at Yerrinbool.
Just after 6pm on Tuesday October 13, a fire broke out on the trailing bogie of locomotive TE2811 at Yerrinbool platform on the Up Main.
It's believed the fire was caused by a wheel bearing assembly on bogie NJA31 which had failed.
Fire crews were called to extinguish the blaze.
There was minor damage to the bogie and no damage to track infrastructure.
