Double demerits are now in force across the Southern Highlands as part of Easter Operation 2021.
Officers from the Hume Police District will be targeting speeding, seatbelt, mobile phone and motorcycle helmet offences.
Superintendent Paul Condon says road safety is always a priority, but even more so on long weekends when we see more people travelling throughout our region.
The operation runs until midnight on Monday.
We're also being reminded to be COVIDsafe and get tested if the slightest symptoms arise.
Superintendent Condon says they don't want to see an outbreak in our region.
