The 2020/2021 bushfire season is now officially over.
The Rural Fire Service says it was the quietest fire season in a decade, which is a stark contrast to the one before.
Across the state, firefighters responded to more than 5500 bush and grass fires burning 31,000 hectares.
That's considerably less than the season before
The RFS Southern Highlands team responded to more than 1500 calls across the local community over the last 12 months and have recently assisted with flood cleanups across the state.
