A man has now been charged in connection with a crash between a motorcycle and vehicle at Alpine yesterday, which left a man in a critical condition at hospital.
Just after 4pm, Emergency Services were called to the Hume Highway at the Church Avenue exit after a Volkswagen Golf Station Wagon and Honda motorcycle collided.
The rider, a 44-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital to undergo emergency surgery.
He's expected to be transferred to Royal North Hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.
The 45 year old driver of the Volkswagon who's from Pheasants Nest was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and negligent driving (occasioning grievous bodily harm).
He's been granted conditional bail to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday May 18.
