Improved digital connectivity for Sutton Forest, Canyonleigh & Penrose

Our RFS crews and first responders will soon have better telecommunication services available around Sutton Forest, Canyonleigh and Penrose.

As part of the Federal Government's Regional Connectivity Program an RFS fire tower at Canyonleigh will be used to install a fixed wireless broadband network.

The project will be delivered by local provider ACE Internet Services and Allen Cupitt says the RFS will be able to use weather stations and cameras from the site.

Local residents are also expected to benefit from better internet speeds.

Work should be completed in time for the bushfire season.
