A change in direction for the Robertson Swimming Pool Association with the group now applying for grant funding for a multi-purpose indoor sports centre, rather than a stand alone swimming pool.
The centre could be used as emergency accommodation centre during storms or bushfires.
The Association's Chair Neville Fredericks said there would also be some fantastic sporting facilities including an indoor sports hall large enough for indoor hockey or basketball, a gym and swimming pool.
Unfortunately the Association missed out on grant funding from the NSW Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund but Mr. Fredericks said they'll keep trying.
" We're re-focusing on a Federal Government funding and will lodge our application by the end of August "
