The Independent Planning Commission's final hearings into the Hume Coal project are underway.
Hume Coal's Farm Asset Manager Rowan Begg spoke about allegations of social and community bullying.
'' Every contractor and small business I've dealt with such as electricians, plumbers, builders, gardeners and mechanics have all been in favour of the project, however they've been intimidated by bullies and stand over merchants to say nothing ''.
" This is because they're afraid of losing business and revenue " Mr. Begg said.
Meantime Wingecarribee Council's Internal Administrator Viv May spoke to the commission, about how council has been concerned about the proposal since 2010.
" Council has adopted a policy of opposition to any new coal mining, because of its potential impacts on groundwater, water catchments, agricultural land and tourism '' Mr. May said.
