Wingecarribee Council is moving to protect staff and the public from the Covid-19 Virus threat.

A spokesperson said around 75% of our employees reside here in the Wingecarribee Shire.

We are your customers, friends and neighbours and we care deeply about our community and its people.

To help keep our community COVID safe, we’re introducing mandatory weekly testing for essential Council employees and contractors who travel into our Shire for work. This will commence on Monday 19 July 2021.

I spokesperson said, we understand that there is a large percentage of our community who travel outside of the region for work. If you can’t work from home and travel into Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong or Shellharbour – please follow the stay at home order for 14 days since you last left the area.
