There are no new reported cases of Covid-19 on the Southern Highlands from today's latest NSW Health figures.
Health officials have confirmed though, a second positive covid-19 case on the Southern Highlands was identified yesterday.
The female was diagnosed at the Mittagong respiratory clinic.
Earlier, a Southern Highlands health professional who works at Campbelltown Hospital tested positive for COVID-19.
The Burradoo man contracted the virus through a brief discussion with a colleague.
His wife and children have all returned negative covid tests and have been self-isolating.
Southern Highlands Division of General Practice spokesman Dr. Vince Roche says the source of the latest infection is being investigated.
Dr. Roche doesn't believe there's a risk of further transmission at this stage but is warning the community not to be COVID complacent.
NSW Health says anyone displaying mild cold symptoms should be tested immediately and self isolate.
