The Hume Police District and Bowral Drug Health have joined forces to tackle alcohol-fuelled Domestic Violence in the Southern Highlands.

Police say the villages of Moss Vale, Bowral, Mittagong and Hill Top have experienced an increase in the alcohol-related domestic assault rate since March last year.

Project Wellbeing has been set up to deal with the problem.

Over the next 12 months all domestic violence offenders (alcohol related) will be contacted and provided with tailor made information and referral options.
