There have been several expressions of interests from prospective purchasers wanting to purchase Hume Coal's nine properties, spread across Sutton Forest, Berrima, Medway and Moss Vale.
It comes after the Independent Planning Commission knocked back the Hume Coal coal mining proposal.
The properties which are situated on 1300 hectares are for sale, through Ray White Parkes and can't be sold separately.
The sale price is confidential.
Hume Coal Project Manager Rod Doyle said they're also selling their water licenses.
"The Department encouraged us to gain water licenses and we've got something like 2000 megalitres from various ground water sources," he said.
