This week's Land and Environment court hearing about a new educational facility at Frensham has been deferred.
The proposal for eight cabins and a multi-purpose hall in the lower Holt is home to Platypus and around 14 wombats.
It's attracted plenty of opposition, with more than 2400 people signing a petition to the board of Governors, demanding the school choose a more appropriate site.
Gaye White from WINZERO said they're unsure why the hearing has been shifted.
"We're not party to the court case, but there seems to be some disagreement amongst soil, water, koala and vegetation experts.
"The delay might be about this information gathering,''Ms. White said.
