Paramedics in the Southern Highlands are continuing to struggle with unsustainable workloads
The problem has been exacerbated with the number of calls coming into triple zero because of the pandemic.
The Wingecarribee Shire only has three or four crews rostered on each day and those paramedics are being sent to other areas south west of Sydney to cover outstanding workload.
Picton operates with just one ambulance during the day and one at night.
Health Services Union Delegate and Highlands Paramedic Matt Anderson said they need help.
"We're not coping, the system is falling apart,
"It's completely unsustainable,"Mr. Anderson said.
